Pigmented Lesions

Pigmented lesions occur when certain cells on our skin, called melanocytes are damaged over time, it affects the amount of melanin produced. Melanin is the pigment responsible for skin colour. When the melanin our cells produce is affected, it can cause a variety of pigmentation issues, discolouration, and sometimes unsightly concerns. One commonly seen issue is pigmented lesions, or pigmented spots, which appear on the surface of the skin. This can include, but not limited to: freckles, melasma, sun spots, and even birthmarks.
Before After

How It Works:

The GentleMax Pro uses laser technology, and specifically dual wavelengths (1064 nm Nd: YAG laser), which penetrate into the epidermal skin layer and reach the cells in which the lesions are occurring. Once done these cells are heated, it absorbs the thermal energy. This allows targeted tissue cells, which is carrying the lesions, to be destroyed. The result leaves smoother, less pigmented skin and a much clearer complexion.
